FAQs

What can I expect in the first session?

Our first session is a chance to get to know one another. You’ll share what’s bringing you (or your child) to therapy, and I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your goals, history, and what support might look like. You don’t need to prepare anything—just come as you are.

Do you offer in-person or telehealth sessions?

I offer both telehealth and in-person therapy services. In-person sessions are held at Mind Garden in Historic Folsom on Sutter Street, a charming area filled with local cafés, shops, and riverside paths that create a calm and welcoming atmosphere for therapy.

What ages do you work with?

3

I work with children, teens, adults, and families. With children and families, I use trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate approaches that center on the parent-child relationship. I also support parents directly through reflective work and skills-based support.

Do you accept insurance?

4

I am an out-of-network provider for most insurance plans, which means you pay for sessions directly rather than billing through insurance. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, you may be able to be reimbursed for part of what you pay, and I am glad to help you understand how to check your benefits before we begin. I am also in-network with a few select plans, so if you would like to use insurance, ask me during your consultation and I will let you know what is possible.
